Her interests include film; comedy (writing and performing); and Italian language\/literature and culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>The Whole Spiel<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Emma Kantor<\/strong> serves as children&#8217;s news editor at <em>Publishers Weekly<\/em>, the trade news magazine targeted at publishers, librarians, booksellers, and literary agents. Her main responsibilities include editing and producing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.publishersweekly.com\/pw\/by-topic\/childrens\/childrens-book-news\/article\/48255-children-s-bookshelf-archive.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Children\u2019s Bookshelf<\/a>\u2014the twice-weekly e-newsletter dedicated to kids\u2019 and young adult publishing news\u2014and contributing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.publishersweekly.com\/pw\/article_authors\/989.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">features<\/a> for the magazine, both online and in print.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previously, as Publicity and Digital Content Manager at the Children\u2019s Book Council and Every Child a Reader, she oversaw all PR and social media campaigns for the trade association and its literacy initiatives.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Vassar College, with a degree in English and Italian.
